MISO: a.k.a. “The Rocket Scientist”, Moosh Poosh, Meeses Pieces.
Birthday: March 16
Likes: Eating grass, snorting, sleeping upside down, snuggling, and eagle-eyeing the floor on taco night to catch any fallen debris!
Dislikes: Hearing babies cry on TV.
About: Miso is the brains of the operation, clearly besting Hummus in all intellectual pursuits. He knows so many words that the people of the house spell worlds too often, change entire sentences to be vague or in another language so he won't know what we're saying, and have to stop people from using "out" "food" "walk" "side" "who's that?" "eat" "dinner" "supper" and so many other words in general conversation. He knows the special ring on our phone that indicates someone is downstairs, the buzzer code and apartment number of our unit, and is the sneakiest ninja in pug disguise you'll ever meet!
HUMMUS: a.k.a. “The Caveman”, Hummy Wums, Potato-body
Birthday: November 24
Likes: YOU. All of you. Also, sitting on your lap facing outward, giving kisses, and getting belly tickles.
Dislikes: Not touching you all the time.
About: Hummus has 3 brain cells. One to do basic eat, sleep, walk functions, one to give as much love as possible in as much time as he's got to give it, and the most powerful brain cell he has is to watch Miso's reactions to things going on the house, and copy him. Hummus is also a rescue coming to us from the Pugalug Rescue, a registered charity organization in Toronto. Hummus had a hard time growing up in a puppymill in Kansas, but found his way to our home when he was 5.5 years old. When he was put on the Pugalug webpage I knew he had to be ours and was meant to come home with us, and luckily he did!

Likes: Animals! All of them! Nerdy sci-fi stuff, bollywood and kathak dancing, the sound of pug snoring, retro 50's anything!, my awesome city Toronto, Coca-cola Classic, animal rights activism, being a vegetarian, and of course, making things and being crafty!
Dislikes: The cold weather in my lovely city!
About: I am a big animal lover, vegetarian, Whale Wars-watching girl with a new-found passion for making the funkiest things I can for pets! I had spent most of my early years going to school for Film/TV, and was able to get a job working for the great Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC). Despite how amazing it was, I found that due to a pain disorder I acquired from an accident a few years back, working this way was not right for me, and I needed to do something that fulfilled me AND could suit my physical limits. Out of this change and soul-searching I came up with the idea for Peachy Keen Pets, to make the most fun and functional pet products I can make, create custom orders, work with animals, be creative... this job had everything in one! I am truly lucky to be able to have this business and work with all of you! Thank you for all of your support!! |
